4 Simple Steps to Delicious Sweet Potato Fries

At times when you hear the word fry....you think "oh gosh....this is gonna be a lot of work!" Haha...never fear! Jared has revolutionized the concept of frying (for me Janna...lol).....especially with this recipe! This is probably one 0f our easiest recipes to date and if you are like me (a non-fry kinda person) this is the perfect recipe to get your feet wet....sometimes you just can't beat simplicity!

Difficulty Meter: EASY! Great for first time fryers!

Ingredients:

2-3 large sweet potatoes

canola oil (you can substitute with sunflower/or avocado oil as well)

salt (optional)

Serves: 4-6

Tools:

Fryer or lage pot

knife

cutting board

pan for cooling

plate for serving

Chefs Tip*: Make sure oil isn't to hot. Too hot = a lot of splatter.... the goal is a nice steady boil. Also, in this recipe salt is optional and honestly we have taken to not adding salt to these and just fully enjoying the sweet potato flavor (crazy right....we know...who have we become?!)

Also, these are spectacular dipped in some of our favorite sauces.....did someone say aioli!?

Step 1 : Prep and heat oil in fryer or pot. Wash your potatoes to get any excess dirt off.

Step 2: Slice Spuds. We like to keep our fries on the thicker side but as you can see here we had a few skinny ones too.

Step 3: In heated oil....start dropping the frites (to some beats). Cook for about 4-6 mins or until golden brown.

Step 4: Enjoy right from the cooling pan or plate and serve. Makes for a lovely and impressive side dish!

Enjoy Fam!
