Two Are Better Than One

Apost about community....

Since I’m in the book of Ecclesiasties, I’ve been reminded of so many nuggets from scripture that have been buried deep in my mind & heart. As some of you may know, I’m an introvert....I am perfectly content not seeing or interacting with anyone...cue phrase “ I vhant to be alone” Lol although, I know full well this is 0.000% good for me😂).Whether I like it or not....I need community! And so do you! Now, my siblings know that sometimes I just need a moment...they actually will ask me if they need to vacate the house (hahah...they are so good at looking after my mental health... probably...no factually, even better than me!)

Now back to Ecclesiastes...

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:9-12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Now during these times of quarantine, less contact and isolation it may seem the perfect time for us introverts to escape building community...yet as Solomon says in Ecclesiastes “Two is better than one....and a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” How many times have I spent the day in my head only to have my sibling bring clarity to my spinning thoughts. This is why it is so important to seek out community, build and grow in your healthy relationships. Look for people who grow, challenge and encourage you, those who help keep you on the path! By yourself it is easy to break under the stress of the daily grind.... but with others it is easier to withstand the pressures and temptations of this world.

Cheers to Friendship!

Until the next post! Have an amazing week!
