Ahhh…the famous Quote from J.R.R Tolkien’s “The Fellowship of the Ring.”
“It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, stepping out your door. You step on to the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.”
-Bilbo Baggins-
Had to make a reference to this iconic passage from the book…or at least for those of you who are fans?!? Anywho…:-) Reflecting on this quote…it can be dangerous and daunting stepping out your door. You can be in awe about where you’re at in life…whethwe that be a healthy and upbeat place or a low beat valley place. Sometimes we are in a good groove and then we let something or someone take our joy or stride from us! Other times, you may have been swept in an unthinkable direction that seems unknown but because you’ve kept going..that path lead you down a road of success!
Taking one from Bilbo…when you step out your door think about the opportunities that lie ahead! Proceed with reasonable caution and weigh out your options. But, don’t let that hold you back. The unknown road can be a scary one but it often times leads to opportunity!
Walk on friends and make it your business to
step in to that unknown territory and make something of it. Don’t just be swept away and swayed. Be the one to leave a footprint on the road!
Happy Trails to you,
Jenny and the Sibs
