Have you ever had a piece of clothing that you thought you could only wear a certain way? Perhaps you only wear a certain top with a particular cut of denim or only wear a pair of shoes with this one dress? In this post we hope to inspire you to break tradition and go with the unexpected!
As back to school is in full swing let us lay out the lesson plan in this post:-) First, we have collaborated with Rella to bring you 3 ways to wear their new Tank tops (hint....we didn't include even 1 treadmill in this post.)
Next, we must say that these tops came at a perfect time. They were a surprise in the mail as Mom had just entered the hospital for her second major seizure and they really put a smile on our faces....and on Mom's too!
And finally, a huge Thanks to the Rella Team for your support, love and prayers during this time... this post has been in the works for a while and we are so excited to finally publish it! And also, a big Thanks to Ralph at the Irondale School House for taking the time to share the amazing history behind this extraordinary building!
Now...to the post...
For the first look we did do a traditional sporty look....but we didn't hit the gym. Rather, we leashed up the pups and hit the trails at Poet's Walk in Red Hook, NY. Boasting 2 miles of trails, with its rolling hills, impeccable views and amazing rustic pavilions and benches, this scenic and historically significant park is a favorite walk and a great spot to catch a sunset and green inspiration! Legend has it, author Washington Irving came up with the classic tale "Rip Van Winkle" while taking in the sights of the Catskill Mountains in this very park!

For our second look, we styled our shirts for lovely Saturday wandering about the town of Millerton, NY. This small town is large on charm and history. It's also home to Harney & Sons Tea. (More on this at a later time:-) Now back to a bit of history...
The Irondale Schoolhouse was once a one room learning center for children aged 5 - 20. And was active from 1858-1930. The class sizes varied from 25-36 children, now the schoolhouse has been revitalized as Millertons visitor center. Keeping in the tradition of education the Schoolhouse informs thousands of visitors per year on the local history and current information of the town. It also hosts art shows and activities that continue to enlighten the entire family. Open late May through mid- October, (Fridays 12-4, Saturday and Sundays 10-4) this historic gem was relocated from its original location to its current spot on Main. This project took over 6 years and is a lasting example of perseverance and dedication from so many individuals who helped make this preservation possible.
During our visit , we had the pleasure of meeting Ralph Fedele, President of the Board of The Friends of Irondale Schoolhouse. Each person who volunteers has a wealth of knowledge about this project, the town and a deep love for their community.
When our amazing history lesson came to a close we hit the streets.....and the shops 😉
