As many of you know...I am an introvert. I actually recharge best when I have some quality alone time.đ
A few days ago as I was doing my devotions (yes this counts as my quality alone time) I read a passage out of Mark 6.
âThen, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, âCome with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.ââ
ââMark⏠â6:31⏠âNIVâŹâŹ
Okay...the whole verse although, I know Iâve read it quite a few times in the past, really jumped out at me! It also came during a perfect time, as life has been a literal feeling of âcoming and goingâ... Can anyone else relate to barely having enough time to eat!?! lol People, places and things oh my...and in great ways mind you...But as I read, the words that really got me were the words of Jesus, beckoning... âCome with me by yourselves....â
This got me thinking....we ALL need some quality alone time to get refocused, recentered and refreshed! Especially when that alone time is with Jesus!
Covid has been that âcome away with me by yourselvesâ moment and as we see glimmers of the world opening back up...let us always remember to take those âtime aloneâ moments.
Letâs review whatâs needed:
âąA Quiet place to recenter and find rest - undistracted by all the noise that surrounds us (i.e. social media, the news, etc.) Being out in nature, in the shower, your car, your bedroom....whatever works for you!
âąYou...Yourself....okay and maybe your cat and/or dogđ But remember, with or without your furry companion be present in your solitude.
âąAnd it helps if Jesus is also present (but this is from my own personal experience:-)
So Fam, in all the coming and going of life remember the Savior beckons... âCome away with me to a quiet place and get some rest...â
Praying you are feeling refreshed and invigorated for this week ahead!
Love ya loads!
