Nolana

For this Foodie Friday post...let us wisk you away to a cozy spot located on the corner of Rue McGill in Montréal. With chic ambiance and a jazzy playlist it's as though you have been removed from time. Add awesome pizza and outstanding service....it's truly...a "Slice of Heaven."

Nolana, a compact brick oven pizzeria was Mom's choice for her "actual" Birthday dinner. Trust us it didn't disappoint!

Travelers Tip: This beautiful space is deceivingly on the small side...so if you have a large party it would be advised to call ahead:-) They also offer a take-out service.

The Brick oven was fired up...and boy were we hungry...but then again...when aren't we hungry!

We were seated by Anthony, who along with his brother Ludwig manage this spectacular spot. It was hard to choose what we wanted because they serve an array  of other wonderful Italian specials such as lasagna, various pasta dishes and more...plus their beverage list is quite extensive too!

All eventually chose various pies. From meat-lovers to vegetarian and exotic calamari... these stylishly served pizzas came hot from the brick oven to our table. Each displayed on a rustic wooden paddle, with scissors cleverly placed so you don't have to tear your "Za" (its in the scrabble dictionary), but cut, to allow all toppings to remain perfectly assembled on your slice and be safely ushered into your mouth for a most memorable and mouthwatering moment!

From stringy cheese to more please.... Jared couldn't have just one. So he ordered an extra pie for all to share. Everything was exquisite! Keeping with the pizza theme...Can anyone say dessert pizza???:-)

One word..... Nutella!

Invision steamy golden crusty pizza dough...smotherd in a generous layer of creamy, chocolaty warm  Nutella....Jared's face says it all!

Ohhhh...it's goooooood!!!!!!

We ended the evening with our love letter to Nutella...oh wait...we mean....Nolana:-) Truly had us mesmerized from start to finish...leaving us in "Knead" of a visit soon!
