Keep Moving Forward

Today as we celebrate and honor the Birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. we saw it fitting to dig into one of his MANY inspiring quotes.

“If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

Martin Luther King Jr.

While there may seem to be many circumstances in this life that can make us feel like our wings have been clipped and we have been grounded, we cannot stop moving forward. We must never succumb to hopelessness. Rather, we CHOOSE (because we always have a choice) to keep our eyes fixed on the prize...our heads held high, putting one foot or knee and hand in front of the other. Staying stagnant and complacent is a sure fire way to derailed is from running our race and accomplishing our God given dreams. Now, I am not suggesting we don’t face our feelings but rather have faith through overcoming what we feel.

Please note I said through. Many times we think we can “get over”.... skirt around, blink and it will all be over, yet, in my personal experience this is very rarely the case. Most times the only way “out” of a circumstance is through it. We don’t get through unless we “keep moving forward.”

While dealing with grief, anxiety, depression or whatever may come our way...it is imperative that we don’t stay stuck in those moments. Rather, we need to be ok with asking for help...seeking out sound advice, having people who encourage and inspire you to keep moving forward.

We hope that if today you feel “stuck” or “stagnant” we could exhort you with this... just in case you didn’t know...you are doing better than you think! Your race is not over! Take a breath.... lift your eyes and tuck your chin...the new starting line is now...“just keep moving foward.”

Until the next post!

Sending you lots of Love!
