“But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “ Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.”

Ahhhh....family! For some this word may hold little value while for others it may mean the world. For me (and I think I can speak for my siblings here...it would be the latter...haha). For us family extends beyond “blood” and has started to look a bit different as the years have progressed. Yet, nonetheless it is still at the very core...family!
I’m reminded through this verse the beauty of our adoption into the kingdom of heaven through Jesus! It is reminiscent and so evident in the way God has beautifully built family around us...how He grows and establishes it.
It has been perfect timing to dwell on this topic a bit especially since this past weekend was Easter! So different from last year in that we actually got to be with more loved ones yet, ever grateful for the sacrifice of Jesus! In Him....we have been adopted into the greatest family ever! No matter what we have done...whether we have had a great earthly brood or not...all we need to be accepted into Gods family is to accept the gift of His son!
Just as Jesus new the suffering that was before him..and although he could have chosen to skip the pain He Chose to bear the burden for our Salvation and freedom. Since He made the ultimate choice He also gave us the ability to choose. What a gentleman he is. Whether you’ve made the decision to accept the Son or not...Know that you are Loved and His Love will go to great depths for you.
