1 Slip Dress 2 Ways to Wear It

It's always fun to find a trendy of the moment look, recycled from a bygone era.

Let me introduce you to exhibit A: The Slip Dress.

This particular vintage beauty was found at a yard sale in Catskill, New York for about $5....yes five dollars!!!!! 🙂 .  I took this dress with us on our California trip earlier this year and had the opportunity to snap a few pic's in San Diego's Balboa Park!

First,  just gotta point out that Balboa Park is truly one of the most picturesque and beautiful places. Its stunning architecture and rich history always keep us mesmerized. It never gets old! Ok, but back to the outfit!

In this first look, we took inspiration from Pantone's color(s) of 2016 - Rose Quartz and Serenity, by pairing this light pink slip dress with a sky blue, long, lightweight jacket. ( Got it at a Boscovs after Christmas sale last year for $7.)

We kept accessories simple with most of the jewelry being vintage with the exception of my "sister" feather ring that Jen purchased from Etsy.  We turned a belt into a chocker,  Sunnies from The Loft and shoes from H&M.

Act II.....

We took to center stage at the stunning Organ Theater.

We kept the same rings and bracelets, but changed into a statement necklace from Target. The suede clutch and earrings are...can you guess???

HINT: Vintage 🙂

As the sun began to set on one of our favorite places, and thoughts of various pairings for this dress flooded our minds ( turtlenecks, t-shirts and woollen coats) it was hard to choose the look we fancied most!? Which is your favorite ?
